The hashtag #blizzardof2015 was trending nationwide as experts warned it was no ordinary snowstorm.
But as the National Weather Service used terms such as “life-threatening” and “historic” to describe the feet of snow expected to fall, social media users, in true form, found some humor in it.

Blizzard and winter storm warnings are up from New Jersey through Maine and into Canada.
“I want everyone to understand that we are facing — most likely — one of the largest snowstorms in the history of this city,” said New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.
