Lindsey Vonn Third in Super-G at Alpine Skiing World Championships

BEAVER CREEK, Colo. — The Olympic champion Anna Fenninger of Austria won the super-G at the Alpine skiing world championships Tuesday, upstaging the American Lindsey Vonn in a race Vonn was favored to win.

Tina Maze of Slovenia was second, three-hundredths of a second behind. Vonn finished third.

The bronze medal was Vonn’s sixth in the world championships, but her first since a downhill silver in 2011.
