Pennsylvania Police Charge Man With 1974 Fatal Shooting Of Childhood Friend

New forensic tests conducted on an old blue coat have led police to arrest a childhood friend in the 1974 death of a Pennsylvania boy.

Fourteen-year-old John David Watson Jr. had biked to a motel to buy cigarettes for his mother, but never made it back home. His body was found on a neighbor’s property the next morning, with a bullet in the back of the head.

“Time for closure on it. We suffered enough,” Tom Watson told the Daily Courier of Connellsville.
