Argentine Judge Rejects Criminal Case Against President

BUENOS AIRES — An Argentine judge has dismissed the criminal allegations against President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner that had been brought by Alberto Nisman, the prosecutor who had accused her of conspiring to shield Iranian officials from responsibility for the deadly bombing of a Buenos Aires community center in 1994, Argentina’s state news agency reported on Thursday.

The judge, Daniel Rafecas, decided that the criminal complaint Mr. Nisman put forward before his mysterious death last month was not sufficient to open an investigation into the president, according to the Argentine state news agency.
