A new documentary, “Dogs on the Inside,” features a group of prison inmates searching for a second chance at life, in part by caring for a group of stray dogs. Candido Santiago, one of the former inmates featured in the film, joined HuffPost Live host Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani today to explain why he feels that he can relate so well to the stray dogs he’s met throughout this project.
“I’ve gone through a lot of things,” said Santiago. “And these dogs have, too.”
