Charlie Hebdo attacks: Get up to speed on the latest developments

Millions rallied in Paris against terrorism and extremism over the weekend. Thousands of police officers are being deployed across France. And the lone remaining suspect in last week’s terror attacks remain on the loose.

We also learned that in addition to the attack at French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo, the kosher store siege and the killing of a policewoman, the shooting of a random jogger Wednesday has reportedly been linked to the spate of violence.

With multiple developments on several fronts, here’s the latest on the investigation, the response and the lingering threat:

The investigation

Another attack?: Did Amedy Coulibaly, who took customers and workers at a kosher market in eastern Paris hostage Friday, also shoot a jogger earlier in the week? Paris prosecutor Francois Molins said the attacks on the jogger Wednesday and the supermarket were linked after a ballistic analysis of bullet casings found, French media reported. But investigators can’t confirm with certainty that it was Coulibaly who shot the jogger. The jogger is reportedly still in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
