Chief: Minneapolis police officer shot in patrol car clearly was ‘intended target’

Later Saturday morning, authorities continued to search the area but did not have anyone in custody in connection with the shooting.

Police Chief Janee Harteau said the wounded officer “just happened to be the one who was there” when he was shot.
