Jonathan Chait became enemy No. 1 of many on the internet Tuesday after New York magazine published his political-correctness opus, titled “Not A Very P.C. Thing To Say,” in which he decries the hyper-sensitive atmosphere that has taken root across the web. Arguably the most vocal critic was Gawker; in an effort to help Chait “chill out,” the site bought the writer a gift certificate for a spa day.
