While Graham is no stranger to Iowa, having campaigned there for now-Sen. Joni Ernst last year, it’s his first trip to the state since launching a presidential exploratory committee last month. He’s said he believes his experience on foreign policy makes him a unique and viable contender in the ever-growing GOP primary field.
Though no candidate has announced plans to run yet, Iowa is already seeing a steady stream of potential contenders, with Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul visiting last week and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio stopping there this week.
