On Tuesday, Sun was finally reacquainted with his aging father, Sun Youhong, and a younger sister he had never met. The moment was captured in a moving series of photographs.
“You’re a man, don’t cry,” said the elder Sun as he embraced his long lost son, according to a report released state news agency Xinhua.
A police officer in the Sichuan provincial capital Chengdu confirmed to CNN that the family had been reunited there this week but declined to give further details.
