Vigils Continue For Slain Muslim Students In Chapel Hill

In the days following the tragic shooting of three Muslim students in Chapel Hill, North Carolina people around the world gathered for vigils and services to honor their short lives.

Deah Barakat, 23, his wife Yusor Abu-Salha, 21, and her sister Razan Abu-Salha, 19, were killed in their home on Tuesday by alleged shooter Craig Stephen Hicks who surrendered to police shortly after the incident. Muslims and non-Muslims alike rose up on social media to mourn the students’ deaths, sparking the hashtag #MuslimLivesMatter.
